“We had a really disappointing experience with Powhatan Motel. After driving 16 hours on a long road trip, we arrived around 3am expecting to check in, since the motel clearly advertises a 24-hour front desk and check-in availability after 4pm. Unfortunately, that was not the case. There was no one available at the front desk, no way to check in, and no communication whatsoever from the property. “Staff was fantastic, room was clean, and my husband liked the tall person friendly shower head! We will be back! Perfect for families staying for soccer just down the road in O’Fallon. ”

“The staff was nice when we checked in. However we never saw anyone after that. We woke up early to enjoy the free breakfast before our 6 hour drive and they had almost nothing. There was an empty crockpot with dirty tongs, waffle maker was not on and old batter in the dispenser. No warm food available. We had no one to complain to because no one was at the desk to check us out. Only a sign that said “leave your key here”. The room wasn’t dirty, but felt stale and not freshly clean.
